Calathea Orbifolia has dropping leaves

Hi,

My Calathea Orbifolia has drooping leaves, and I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. Sometimes it appears the leaves have recovered themselves without my intervention, mainly in the early morning, but then after a few hours, it has drooping leaves again throughout the day.

The plant is placed at a North facing window, about 1 meter away from the window, behind a Snake plant and the balcony door. Note that another apartment block is relatively close to our building.

I purchased the plant end of March and haven’t repotted it yet. Also, I haven’t given it any fertilizer. The soil is moist (not wet), and I allow the soil to dry out halfway between waterings while the water drain through the draining holes. I mist the plant about 1-2 times a week and use only water left overnight.

Any idea what the cause of the drooping leaves might be? Watering? Moist level? Light conditions? Draught?

Please check the attached pictures to get a better understanding of the condition. Photos are taken on June 12th at about 16:30.

All the best,
Charlotte
