Philodendron yellow marks

Hi! I just bought this beautiful Philodendron a bit more than two weeks ago, and many leaves have these strange yellow/brown marks on them now. I noticed that they had some sticky residue in some of these areas.

  • Hi Greta, thank you for your question and attached photo. The yellowing of the leaf edges may be due to nutrient surplus or alternative deficit as well as too high or too low pH in the soil. To get in the right balance for the plant, it may be good to replant this in a new potted plant soil. A few months after replanting, you can start adding nutrition for "Green Plants". Good luck!
